One Hundred

Hey guys!

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans" Proverbs 16:3

My Experience

Commitment usually scares me. Hundreds of thoughts rush through my head anytime someone asks me to do something for them. I'm always scared I'm going to let them down, do it wrong, or not follow through as I should. A lot of things in my life have changed this year, but a few things have not. One of those is Broken Vessels.

Thoughts on the Verse

Committing to the Lord is hard. In life, we're asked to commit to a lot of things. Sports, music, studying, being a good friend, work, and more. Our commitment to God should top all of these things. Our dedication to God has endless benefits. He promises to establish our plans so that they may succeed. But that's only promised because the devotion is to God and not worldly things

Connection

When I decided to make a blog and write two times a week, I was terrified. But I knew it would benefit me in that I was committed to writing about God and my faith. I had no idea how much I would learn from this. Every post I've written has a story from my life. Each one of those stories has taught me about God in some way. I have learned one hundred lessons because I've written every Sunday and Wednesday for the past 48 weeks (plus a few experience posts).

I chose to obey God and devote myself to Him and glorifying him through my writing. I've been successful because of that. I pray that you find a way to commit to God more than you are. Make yourself wake up and do your devotional every morning, or commit to evangelize once a month. Find a way that uses your talents to increase your devotion to God.

Praying,

Addison Wimbish
