"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
This verse really spoke to me as we begin the new year. The verse states, "they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness." This allows us to put hope in the fact that every single morning God is there ready to love us. Despite what our past holds, we are free from it and allowed to begin anew. Despite what 2018 held for us, despite what happened last week or last night. God's compassion never fail. They are renewed every single day. They are relentless.
Begin this new year with this mindset. He loves us always, leave behind your regrets behind, and depend on God. For in this broken world his love and compassion is the only thing we can always depend on.
