What are the odds?

Hey there!

Weeks ago during "homegroups", a lesson was given over how the humans came into existence. Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Iron, Nitrogen, Calcium, and Phosphorus compose 99% of the human body. Our leader put all of these elements into a water bottle and shook it. Them he asked us how many times he would have to shake it until it made a human.

The chances of a human being made by us were astronomically low. Actually, it wasn't possible. Think about it this way. What are the odds that the Earth just formed perfectly to sustain humans when it's composed of 7 layers of rocks, forestry, and animals? What are the odds of that happening on the first try?

Both of those questions can be answered by simply stating that they're very low. But the second one is what I'm going to focus on. Odds are stacked against the Earth and human life being accidental. It's even less likely that this would occur on the first time. That would mean there are hundreds of different planets similar to Earth, but not perfect enough to sustain life.

From what I've heard, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune (and Pluto) aren't very similar to Earth. Now, what are the odds that there was a creator of some sort? They're a lot higher. Almost every theory about the creation leads to there being some sort of creator. Who caused the Big Bang? Who created the apes "we evolved from"? Who made all of the elements that create humans?

Everything comes back to a creator, and I choose to believe that the creator is God. No matter what anyone believes, there will be someone right. Just one religion, not multiple. Christianity may be incorrect, but I have faith that the God that has shown himself through many things is real. And he worked hard on creating us so that we can have a relationship with him.

Praying,
